Jonathan Anderson's collection this season was my inner child's fantasy and those little details he took as inspiration sources that we don't get to see much in the actual digital era we are living in; like puzzles, legos and old classic fairytale stories (The Little Prince). Something that I love about J.W. Anderson is the way he makes this flamboyant masculinity in every season. My favourite pieces out of this collection would have to be the black and white tunic-shirt with the white quilted layer on the front that looks like one of those things mum's put their babies to eat (I have no idea what the name is, lol), that super long pink and yellow jumper is quite an statement, the jumpsuits are amazing (btw, anyone who makes a good man's jumpsuit wins me over immediately), the handbag is to die for; I need it right now and finally that CROWN, I NEED one in my life right now, who doesn't like feeling like a Prince? So don't be surprised if you see me sporting a crown real soon. j-w-anderson.com
Beach say what? So, of course somewhere in the world is summer time right now (at least not in London) and Sibling SS '17 collection this season is all about that "Beach & Chill" vibe. See through mesh corsets with bold embroidery, zig-zag speedos, stripy "pyjama" sets, towels and tons of six packs were the real focus of the show, I have to say that this is quite refreshing for a London collection where normally designers don't do much of sex appeal (I mean like ZERO, leave that to the Italians we thought), but in my opinion Sibling completely nailed it. Quite frankly if the weather in this city was above 25 degrees and my pocket was as large as the London eye, I would be wearing the whole collection out in central London 24/7, even that wrapped Sibling towel and lets talk about those sunglasses please!! They are sickening. Ugh!!
Lord, Where do I even begin? Okay, let's just say that Shannon's collection gets me so frustrated, this is my ultimate denim fantasy dream come true. Are you kidding me? Denim? Sporty? Distressed? Im completely sold since look 1. This collection is an "Avant-garde" take on the everyday streetwear; its incredibly effortless yet so unpredictable, I kinda want to go to Sports Direct right this minute. Different hues of denim, distressed fabric, bolero jackets, unusual hats and 2 pieces trousers that can be buttoned up were the highlights of the show. My favourite pieces of the show were the tripple layer- two tone pair of jeans (I think its an incredible masterpiece) and those two tone jeans that you can button up or Im not sure if the are meant to be denim socks? However I would love to wear them in every way possible!
I don't know about you but if I had to describe this collection in 3 words it would have to be: "Hawaiian Bae Crush". Topman SS '17 inspiration for this collection was all about Teddy Boys and "Club Troppicana" which translated into "burnt" cute faces, palm tree prints, heart patches, short shorts, pastels and how to leave behind the crop length in the jackets and sweatshirts (this length is definitely here to stay for much longer). I got my eye on that red crop puffer jacket and one of those heart dirty weekend sweatshirts please!
