During this past London Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to attend SCOOP International Fashion Show which for those that are not familiar with it; its a premium womenswear and accesories tradeshow held at the iconic SAATCHI Gallery in Chelsea, London. Some of the brands showcasing this season were: Aquascutum, Cacharel, Ellie Saab Silks, Missoni Scarves, Transit Par Such, House of Holland, Maison Baluchon, Urban Code, Dahlia Razzook and Newgate Watches. I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the event, I was greeted in the entrance by someone who I already knew before actually and he adviced me a little bit of what to expect from the event. I was then given a complementary SCOOP bag and a token for the champagne bar. The showrooms were splitted in 8 different galleries and the foyer. I loved the whole layout of the galleries and the contrast of the racks of clothes and accesories with the art work against the white walls. Saatchi is one of my favourite galleries and I really just wanted to give a visual report of my whole experience. Because you know, a picture is worth a thousand words; so of course i took out my camera and phone to snap a few pictures. But I was quite dissapointed that some of my favourite brands wouldn't allow me to take pictures of their collection; which I really didn't understand. Im not sure if they didn't get the memo but this is supposed to be a "showroom"; so this is an opportunity for brands and designers to showcase their collections, so buyers and press can approach them and hopefully do business, so any kind of publicity would only be in their favour. However, I did manage to take a few snaps of what caught my eye the most (minus those who didnt let me take pics, of course). Overall, there was really a thing for fur this season, which is very pretty but I am also against, thankfully most of them were faux fur. Colourful prints in silk were also very strong in the game and I spotted quite a few amazing minimalistic silver jewellery which I totally loved. My favourite part of the venue was of course the Art Cafe and Champagne Bar, I had a great evening filled with wonderful artwork, beautiful clothes, handsome guys (Staff) and my favourite gallery in town. So, Im looking forward to see what they will bring for the next edition in July.
